National Australia Bank customer satisfaction has declined in the last year, the only major to do so, ranking the bank last out of ten Australian banks reviewed in the latest Roy Morgan Research customer satisfaction survey.

ANZ leads the majors with 76.3 per cent of satisfied customers, followed by Westpac 72.5 per cent, Commonwealth, which has increased almost two percentage points in the year to April at 68.6 per cent, trailed by National with 68.4 per cent.

St George keeps smiling with 77.3 per cent, but this is the lowest rating when compared to the tier two banks.

Bendigo has the most satisfied bank customers with 87.3 per cent.

The customer-centric mutuals continue to provide superior customer service, with total credit unions 87.9 per cent and total building societies 84.9 per cent.
