One more year for Goode

ANZ's chair, Charles Goode, will step down from the bank's board in the next 12 to 14 months, the Financial Review reported. Goode will still seek reelection to the board at next month's annual meeting, but the notice of meeting will explain the planned transition.

The newspaper reported that the board had settled on the next chair. This person is not currently a member of the board. The AFR speculated that one of David Crawford (now chair of Fosters, and who helped drive the securities lending review), Leigh Clifford (chair of Qantas) and Rod Eddington (chair of Infrastructure Australia) may be the board's choice as chair.
