Rubik buys software from Macquarie 22 May 2013 4:44PM John Kavanagh Finance industry software provider Rubik Financial announced yesterday that it had entered into a binding agreement to buy Macquarie Bank's Visor Desktop financial planning software.Rubik bought the former COIN Desktop financial planning software system from Macquarie last year. Macquarie continued to service independent financial adviser clients, using Visor, under a licence from COIN. Rubik will now service the 300 adviser clients that were retained by Macquarie last year. The business generated annualised revenue of A$3.5 million in the six months to March.Rubik will pay around $300,000.Rubik's traditional business is providing core banking systems, but it has made three wealth management software acquisitions in the past year.
