Colorado book upsized for Great Western 10 July 2009 4:13PM Ian Rogers Great Western Bank acquired a much larger book of deposits and loans from its purchase of a branch network in the US state of Colorado than originally foreshadowed. Great Western is the US banking subsidiary of National Australia Bank.In late April Great Western had said it would acquire around US$102 million in deposits and a small loan portfolio.In announcing the finalisation of the transaction Great Western said it acquired around US$600 million in deposits and $380 million in loans.The bank bought the deposits, loans and a network of 20 branches from First Community Bank in Colorado. The bank also bought one branch from Wachovia Bank.
