NAB mum on payments audit

National Australia Bank is in receipt of an audit report from KPMG into the issues behind the two-day failure of batch payments at the bank in late November 2010, The Australian reports. However, the bank is not divulging its contents.

A similar break-down in operations delayed batch payments by a day from Thursday night last week.

Meanwhile, Commonwealth Bank confirmed to the Sydney Morning Herald that its ATM fleet was partly off-line for some hours yesterday morning. This limited customer withdrawals to A$300, much less than the normal daily limit, and less than applied in a well-publicised loss of normal ATM operations in early March.
