Second day of internet strife for Westpac

Westpac customers experienced a second day of degraded access to internet banking services yesterday.

Users experienced intermittent access problems on Tuesday morning extending into lunch-time, generating plenty of pent-up demand during the afternoon and evening.

Similar problems occurred yesterday morning, the bank advised, via Twitter. These were resolved early in the afternoon, but the same issues soon recurred.

Users reported repeat problems throughout yesterday evening.
