Briefs: Latitude CFO quits, new Avenue Bank director, QuickFee raises capital 06 May 2024 7:36AM John Kavanagh New Avenue Bank director Jo Mikleus Paul Varro, chief financial officer at Latitude Financial Services, has announced his resignation. He has worked at Latitude for 16 years. The company said Varro would stay on to support a succession. Jo Mikleus, senior vice president of AI and cybersecurity company Cyble Inc, has joined the board of Avenue Bank as an independent non-executive director. Mikleus spent 26 years at ANZ, where her roles included head of commercial sales and head of small business sales. Since leaving ANZ in 2016 she has worked at several fintech and IT companies. Niche finance and payments company QuickFee has completed a A$3.75 million share placement to institutional and sophisticated investors. It has launched a share purchase plan to raise an additional $500,000 from eligible shareholders. The money will be used to support loan book growth. QuickFee provides digital payment services and receivables finance to professional services firms in Australia and the United States, with a particular focus on legal and accounting firms. It reported strong growth in its lending business in the December half and is keen to keep the momentum going.
