One seventh of NAB household deposits held in UBank

UBank has more than A$10 billion deposits and more than 200,000 customers, Alex Twigg, general manager of the NAB brand, told The Australian newspaper on Saturday.

This represents 13.5 per cent of NAB's household deposits in Australia.

In February 2011, UBank had around $7 billion in deposits, equal to 10.2 per cent of NAB's household deposits at the time.

Meanwhile NAB's head retail banking in Australia, Lisa Gray, canvassed the liklihood of lowering variable home loan rates, or otherwise, in line with any cuts in the RBA cash rate in an interview the Financial Review, published today.

"We need to take pricing decisions when we make them but are committed to remaining very competitive and having had the lowest standard variable rate for the last 30 months has helped, but its not the only thing."
